Ethan Pringle Repeats Chris Sharma's Monster Line 'Jumbo Love' (9b) | EpicTV Climbing Daily, Ep. 504

We’re starting out today with some incredible news from the sport climbing world. US climber Ethan Pringle has repeated Chris Sharma’s huge, 80 metre-long, 9b/5.15b 'Jumbo Love' at Clark Mountain, California. He’s been working the route for 8 years and tried it even before Chris eventually made the first ascent in 2008, at which time it was probably the hardest route in the World. Ethan is a true rock climbing all-rounder, having taken a silver medal in the Youth World Championships in 2000 before going on to climb several 9a's and 9a+’s, an 8C boulder – The Wheel of Life in Australia – and the desperate trad line 'Cobra Crack' in Squamish, Canada. To top it all, he now becomes the 8th person in the world to climb 9b.
Next, we’ve got a short video of Colorado based climber Michael O’Rourke adding a new finish to a Dave Graham problem called 'Pocket Frogs'. His new variation follows the main feature of the boulder, a large seem, to its completion. Graham's initial line breaks out earlier to finish direct through the boulder's bulge. Michael's given the new finish V13/8B stating that 'both lines are great and worth checking out.' Michael is sponsored by Mad Rock - http://www.madrockclimbing.com/
